looking for some sort of logic to improv music like animenz or francesco parrino

the kind of ideas that helps me to a. guess the melody i rmb by ear or memory b. to enbelish the melody by chords in the most similar way to the original
c. keep all the above consonant and not dissonant and sounds like the original songs

anything like this that musician does to be able to sound even moderately original?
