quite faithful to the comics… especially in writing to frank millers man without fear and the visual style to john romita jr

>>351837>>351838>>351848>>351867>>351873I'm gonna digress for a bit before going to the main take…
I enjoyed the Ben Affleck DareDevil Movie of the PreCapeshit era in the 2000's (I especially liked his suit, since it was PVC or Rubber or some water resistant material) but if something isn't "Supernaturally Themed"; barring actual Kung Fu movies whether Chinese or Western; I'm not too much of a fanatic about it. I like the Milla Jovovich Resident Evil flicks flaws and all, and liked the UnderWorld and Matrix movies despite all three being only allegorical to the supernatural through. X-Men trilogy is cool too, and back in the day, everyone enjoyed the Tobey-Man Spider-Man.
Now on to the main point (I may go schizo for a moment but what I will say is true):
I don't support Disney of all corporations owning and making "Edgy male fantasy" IP's (Like DareDevil) in any shape or form due to "esoteric" reasons. I've made this argument before on 4chins, as Disney owning action stuff like Blade, Power Rangers (formerly), and Ghost Rider for example perverts things "subconsciously" for such edgy properties for males via subconscious affiliations with Disney's 50 year legacy of "Disney Princess" franchises (Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, etc) which they Prided themselves on for so long. Much like a Rorschach inkblot test, the fist thing that pops up in anyone's mind when someone says "Disney" is a "thumbnail icon of Cinderella" in their mind, and so Disney owning Marvel may lead to "Cringe Phenomenon" manifesting in the form of weird dreams Like Wesley Snipes' Blade having a teaparty with Cinderella in front of the Disney Castle in your dreams generated by your subconscious for example.
It infects the collective conscious to have stuff like Blade and Cinderella being paired so closely and associated with one another under the same umbrella that is the PARENT COMPANY Disney. This leads to the clown world reality that is the Zeitgeist now or should I say HELLSCAPE we've been living in ever since The Cinderalla Snow White Mickey Mouse Disney Princess Corporation for little girls bought an Action Franchise they had no business purchasing in "Marvel" in 2009.

Everyone says Shaw Bros films are the best all the time, but aside from a few Venom mob (5 Deadly Venoms, DareDevil's of Kung Fu) films, I find I like other studio's films better, there's stuff from South Sea films co. and Pagoda films as well; not to mention Golden Harvest. There's so many studios from China at that time I begin to lose track of which type of Kung fu films are defined by what studio, there's just as many as there are comic books since they literally shot films within a span of 3 days for many of them.
You've probably seen the 1993 Iron Monkey, with Donnie Yen, that ones a classic.

>one of the best training montages on par with Drunken MasterIf you talk about Drunken Master II then i bet because it's the same guy, Mantis also has a pretty interesting theatric trailer as it is the actors training for the movie without makeup, they are simply going technical about what they are doing for the role.
>and a fantastic finaleI find Mantis' finale more technically interesting than Mad Monkey, particularly because the grappling technique was partially invented by the director/coordinator. The twist was kinda fuzzy but okayish.
>>352507>Everyone says Shaw Bros films are the best all the timeYou are looking at it wrong, see it as fight instructors + story directors, sometimes they are the same guy and those movies at times work better.
For example the Liu Clan were perhaps the best filmmakers in terms of fight movies but they worked for Shaw and some Taiwan independents, the other guys would be the Yuen Clan who were Golden Harvest at some point i think. Both the Liu and the Yuen worked for early pioneers like Chang Cheh.
Venom Mob at its core were 3 instructors with one of them being the defacto director, all 3 wrote together but they constantly fought over fight scene technicals and the guy who was the director often acted as the counselor too. Chang Cheh only checked that the acting scenes were okay and then fucked off to do other movies or projects, leaving them to their own devices.

>>353968Well, I'm no fool, I know surface level Christianity has been perverted by Satanic Gnostics a long time ago (as they believe Lucifer is the Christ, and the satanist Vatican long ago may have devised the "Trinity" so surface dwelling normies could worship that gnostic "egregore"). I have my own beliefs that don't discount any of the Abrahamic Scriptures (Original versions of the Torah, Gospel, and Quran) having any basis in truth. I believe they were sent down by "the source" whom I like to refer to as "that which need not be taught"; as I have a yearning for his existence (Satanists call him "Demiurge"), but without the bullshit added from mankind's own made up stuff injected into his signs. To that end, I was pleased to find that the Quran is an unaltered, preserved text; but MudSlimes are donkey shit for brains who believe in false Satanic doctrines outside of their own holy book that pervert the very teachings of their own Quran (there's nothing in the Quran of pedophilia ie muhommed marrying a 6 year old girl, nor is there anything about muh 72 virgins, nor does the Quran say for women to cover their face in hijab, in fact the Quran warns of such outside texts being created in the future). I guess I just like to humble myself and believe in the notion of a self respecting, stern, disciplining, wrathful against cruelty type of God.

No.354390
>>354361No problem, it's not in chronological order but in terms of greatness I'd recommended you first watch Time Force, Lost Galaxy, LightSpeed Rescue, and then in Space in that order just to get into it. These seasons were written like the Dark Blockbuster movies of the time like the "Blade", "Matrix", "UnderWorld", and "Resident Evil" movies, so they're highly cinematic and edgy. Also check out the 1995 "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" after you're done watching the Dark seasons I mentioned.
Afterwards you can then watch them in chronological order if you like; just was recommending them in the order I mentioned since you're new so I'd like to get you to see them in a way that'll get you hooked first.
Time Force's greatness speaks for itself since the first two episodes, so you won't even feel like skipping the filler episodes that come after the first 4.
Lost Galaxy's best episode is episode 13 "Orion Returns"
Lightspeed Rescue's best saga is its 4 part finale (I think it might be the final 4 or 5 episodes), beginning with when the Red Ranger has to go into the Demon's dimension to save the other four Rangers and face the queen.
In Space's best saga is the "Psycho Rangers" saga and the early episodes with a villain named "Darkonda".
Just as a starter guide, before you watch anything, watch these two 20 minutes episodes:
1) Make sure to watch Episode 4 "Legacy of Power" from Power Rangers Dino Thunder as an "index" which will give you a quick rundown of the first 12 seasons (years) up to that point so far tied up and summed up neatly in a Span of 20 minutes so you'll get an idea of stuff. (It's not that much of a Dark season but the episode I mentioned covers the Dark Seasons in a quick rundown chronologically).
2) And then watch a 20 minute 10th anniversary episode called "Forever Red" from the Wild Force Season to get into the spirit of things. (Not a very great season, but the episode I mentioned is the best team up of all time).
No.354392
>>354363Oh yeah man, Glad you liked it. "Sam the Seed" (the old man) always delivers when you watch any kino he's in. Did you check out "Drunken Arts and Crippled fist" as well? Most Lee Yi Min movies are good too, like "Buddha's Palm and Dragons Fist" it has Chi Kwan Chun in it I think. "Mystery of Chess Boxing" was also good I think.
