Even the dumbest niggercattle occasionally doubts, but maybe there's a point where someone becomes such an utter overly-trusting and gullible moron that they manage to wind up on top simply because all the people with conflicting views who are trying to manipulate him wind up offing each other while he just lives on blissfully unaware people are trying to use him.
