>>13094I agree with some of what you've said, I beat Mario Kart 7 and thought it was okay, but didn't feel like it was a serious improvement over DS.
I beat 3D Land, I respect it for being a unique take on Mario (3D mario but with game design more like 2D mario) but it does just feel inferior to 64 or Galaxy.
Dream Team I haven't played, looks like an obviously inferior sequel to the earlier games, I'm surprised they keep making Mario and Luigi games.
3DS Games I really enjoyed and recommend:
>Layton 5: Miracle MaskA really good entry in the Layton series, unfortunately 6 and 7 were not as good.
>Ace Attorney 5, 6, Layton vsGreat Ace Attorney 1 and 2 also exist and have amazing sound tracks, but I don't think the cases are as good
>Virtue's Last RewardMind-bending sequel to the acclaimed 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors, which is itself a spiritual successor to the influential Otogirisou and Infinity series.
>Kirby Triple DeluxeIt's Kirby, it's fun, nothing more needs to be said. Haven't played the sequel where Kirby has a mech.
>Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask 3DBeautiful remakes of some really good games
>Kid Icarus UprisingPhenomenal unique and creative game by the creator of Smash Bros.
>Fire Emblem AwakeningRevived a near dead strategy game franchise by introducing eugenics. You control which characters marry each other and their offspring also become playable characters.
>Fire Emblem EchoesA massive, complete overhaul of the second Fire Emblem game. More than just a reboot, it's pretty much an original game.
>Pokemon XY, ORAS, SM, USUMThey're solid but obviously inferior to previous entries.
>Code Name S.T.E.A.M.Nintendo XCOM clone.
>Etrian Odyssey 4Retro-style rpg with amazing music.
>Detective PikachuBaby's first adventure game, but surprisingly entertaining.
But the real reason I say it's like the PSP is there's a lot of games almost nobody has even played, from the first party games that barely anybody touched like Culdcept, Fatal Frame 3 (Spirit Camera), WarioWare Gold, STEAM, Detective Pikachu, etc. to the supposedly solid 3rd party titles that few have played (Ever Oasis comes to mind) to the really esoteric stuff like the Medabots game where women are forcibly stripped by their bots exploding when you beat them or Conception II, a jrpg where the goal is to "classmate" with your female classmates to produce "star children" to use in combat.
