Let's discuss FuRyu here. I think this company is a breath of fresh air in today's industry. They allow their developers to experiment in interesting ways, but also make efforts to appeal to traditional JRPG audiences.

Their latest known project, CRYMACHINA (coming to the PS4, PS5, Switch and PC this Fall in the west) is a Japanese sci-fi Action-RPG directed by Fuyuki Hayashi (the same director behind Crystar and Monark) and developed by AQURIA (the studio behind the PS Vita's Caligula).

Leaked Nintendo Switch 2 specs reveal how powerful the next-gen console may be.

Specifications for the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2 have leaked, revealing what chip will be included and the expected level of performance.

Inside, the Nintendo Switch 2 will reportedly use the "T239" chip with 8 x Arm A78C cores, an Ampere GPU with 1536 CUDA cores, 128-bit LPDDR5 memory support with up to 102GB/sec of memory bandwidth in total. There are "extra little bonuses" inside of this chip, too.

The media block has been backported from the latest Ada Lovelace GPU architecture - a custom Ampere GPU will be found in T239 - so it "should be faster with support for more formats, including AV1." Improved clock-gating is here, which is a way of improving efficiency from dormant silicon, is another Ada feature that has "somehow found its way into T239".

There's also FDE, which is the File Decompression Engine, similar to what Sony uses as the decompression block inside its PlayStation 5 console. MLID's new video states this basically allows for ultra-fast decompression of assets from storage and into memory. There was a recent report from Nate The Hate talking about a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild demo running on next-generation Switch 2 hardware with "zero loading times".

The new T239 chip has the hardware capable to have ultra-fast loading, but it's "going to need a much faster storage format to make that possible".

Nexus Mods has deleted a mod that allowed players to change the gender and voice of one of Baldur's Gate 3's most popular minor characters, making one of the game's canon gay relationships heterosexual.

I would not be surprised by this tbh. Most of these guys leave at around 50. Todd's influence is keeping the game within the confines of Bethesda's traditional mainline style. I honestly like that style….the problem with Starfield is that it was just a bad idea, was empty, and was designed to be a pure skinner box with the emphasis on ship building and settlements. IDK why but Todd has been autistically chasing after Minecraft post-Skyrim….but it completely sucks. The settlement/Minutemen in FO4 was shit and the entirety of Starfield is shit. It is just not what Todd and Bethesda or their engine is very good at. It is good at Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim style games based around massive amounts of quests and lore. You cannot deviate from that formula and win while using the same engine and configuration. I wouldn't be surprised if Bethesda went to complete shit after Todd leaves. Say what you want but he is a competent white guy. That is a unicorn in cuckeogooms these days.

Devil World North American debut

Has anyone had a chance to play this early Miyamoto masterpiece since it debuted on Switch Online this Halloween?

They said it was a Pac-man clone, but this is way more fun than Pac-man.

You play as this dragon who has to navigate the maze eating dots, while picking up crosses which allow you to breathe fire to take out enemies. All the while, the Devil is randomly shifting the stage in different directions, attempting to crush you against the wall. Eventually, you will pick up Bibles, which also allow you to breate fire, and you've got to bring them to a part of the stage to seal the Devil.

The biggest surprise for me was how Tamagon is to Yoshi what Jumpman is to Mario.

Bethesda is using a 20+ year old engine. Why can't companies build a new engine every gen for their gaming?
