It didn't used to be anywhere near this bad. The only reason why Team Fortress hasn't gotten a proper show it's because of Valve's being total slackers, while Dota 2 got its animation fanfiction by a whole different team unaffiliated with them.

Last time I played it was in 2019-2020 and it was still great. Of course, I stuck to community servers I'm sure you didn't and spent 90% of my time on EU servers because I'm blessed to live on the East Coast and have phenomenal ping.
