>>16545Looks very nice. I was worried it wouldn't look as good as the fan-made project, but they did top it. Easily the best-looking Switch 2 game to date.
I love what they did with Hyrule Castle Town, they really expanded it with the jump from static backgrounds, adding more area and NPCs.
Young Link looks perfect, the face and the outfit. Young Zelda I'm not so sure, I'll need to see more of her. Looks like they were trying to make her look more Anglo. They nailed Ganondorf too.
One thing is for sure, between the game and the limited edition console, Switch 2 will be the hot item this Christmas.

>>16548the models look good, though I think they clash a bit with the cinematic lighting/shading and realistic textures. Seems like they should have committed to more of a Twilight Princess artstyle for the character models or made the rest of the world slightly more stylized to match them better with the current models.
No.16551
>>16549I noticed that too, particularly some of the enemies look a little out of place with the realism of the world, but I think they wanted to keep some of the cartoonish element, since for half of the game you're playing as a kid. My only real pet peeve with what was revealed was how they gave Princess Ruto a top, but I understand the reason.
No.16552
lol, they remade it again? Why? Just play the original. I bet you can't even bomb jump or infinite superslide in this.

As far as the voice acting, I'm sorry to disappoint you but they use women to voice the lolis, you can find the clips on YouTube. They're good though, as close as a woman can sound to a girl, like you get with many anime dubs.

>>16560>I don't think we've heard enough to say for certainHere, I'll spoonfeed you. Watch this brownoid's reaction video, he has the voice scenes cut from the footage today.
They are the same voice actors who play the adult females because it's cheaper than hiring four little girls just to do a few limited cutscenes, and you don't have to deal with child labor laws at all. The voice acting budget is shoestring, otherwise all the dialogue would be voiced in Zelda games, not just the cutscenes. AFAIK they don't even voice other languages besides Japanese and English.
No.16563
>>16561>>16560>dubmoggedI don't know what you're on about, those are adult women actors too. This seems to be the trend in the industry because there are a lot of women who can do pretty good girl voices, and like I said you don't have to deal with the headaches of employing children. But if you've a trained ear, it's easy to spot.

>>16562>>16563they are voiced in french as well
they never use children as voice actors in any language, except when making some cartoons for children (Daniel Tiger is an example)
as actual child voice actors notoriously sound pretty bad. The issue is the Zelda and Saria voices in particular just sound like adult female characters speaking normally.
Saria is technically an adult so if that's the approach they want to take for her it's fine, if a little bland, but Zelda especially sounds wrong.
Ruto seems to be trying something, but it's only a few seconds so it's hard to say. (In Japanese she has a stereotypical bratty style of speech.)

>>16564>they never use children as voice actors in any language, except when making some cartoons for children (Daniel Tiger is an example)Then why did you think they would for this?
>as actual child voice actors notoriously sound pretty bad.Casting them is a challenge. It doesn't mean there aren't smart children who are up to the job. I think it has more to do with keeping the voice budget low by hiring less actors and avoiding red tape.
>>16565I agree, the Spanish Zelda actress sounds the best.
No.16568
>>16566>Then why did you think they would for this?I never did, I just said they need loli voices and adult voices. Those can be provided by the same person and some people can do both well (Megumi Hayashibara is an amazing example of this) but it seems like they didn't cast people who can properly do both in the English dub, at least based on Zelda's voice.

What do we think of this price point? On one hand, the presentation looks impeccable. But this is a remake of an N64 game that's not very long by modern standards. Is there enough new content to make it worthwhile?
No.16572
>>16571its fine. Ocarina of Time is about 25-30 hours so its actually a decent length, especially as its much tighter and not full of filler slop like modern games. Its still a great game and this looks like its probably going to be really faithful gameplay/progressionwise.

>>16572I mean maybe if you've played it to death it might seem high, but this is a pretty substantial remake and for new players. Breath of the Wild is one of the best selling games ever selling multiple times what OoT sold so there are a lot of people that will be interested in this that haven't played it, despite OoT selling really well already. To new players its worth $60.
