Something people rarely talk about is how parasocial relationships go both ways. Lots of streamers get unhealthily attached to regular viewers and some even do this weird thing where they begin to view the whole chat as a single hivemind entity. They're not conscious of it, but it happens. That's probably why so many will lash out at their entire audience over something just one guy said.
