I beg to differ a bit. You are definitely the main character of your own life but you need to realize that not every single person is starring in a le heckin Berserk fanfic. It could be just some shitty slice of life where nothing ever happens but you live contentedly, or even one of those edgecore stories where the main character is such a huge asshole through and through that he deserves every nightmarish thing happening to him in the end. In fact one of the most memorable manga I have ever read was just such a story: Umareru Kachi no Nakatta Jibun ga Anna no Tame ni Dekiru Ikutsuka no Koto. It filters retards who either refuse to accept that it's actually a pretty realistic depiction of the average loser with access to time loops, or because they already are an IRL loser very similar to the main character and the manga hits too close to home.
