People who move down South should just accept that the Uncle Jeff was right and that the North got conned hard. A substantial amount of them probably don't even have any American ancestors at the time of the Civil War, not that there's necessarily anything wrong with that, but it shows just how hard they buy into complete propaganda instead of embodying a more healthy defensiveness rooted in respect for their ancestors. At one point it wasn't at all uncommon for Northerners to look at Reconstruction as a shameful embarrassment and admire people like Robert E. Lee, and now leftists think Reconstruction didn't go far enough and treat Confederate soldiers as monsters. At the very least, they should just accept that the South had valid concerns and weren't just a bunch of vicious demons, but apparently that's too much to ask.
