Did Himmler actually call his symbol the Black Sun or was that just what other people called/ended up calling it? Apparently nobody knows if it's just a randomly stylized solar symbol like other swastikas or if there was some intended further meaning behind it.

the symbol represents knowledge used in an evil manner. the sun being light/truth/knowledge and the black being evil. whether thats what he actually intended is anyones guess but considering he was an occultist ruling over people, it certainly embodies what he was about.

Why would anyone create a symbol for their own use that signifies that they are evil? Sounds 100% made up after the fact. "Yeah, Hitler, I came up with a new logo for us, it means we're the bad guys and we exist to be evil and to be vanquished by the good guys who are our enemies." Completely believable.

It's a funny clip but only works as a joke after a century of conditioning. Skulls in Europe, and most of the world, were used to depict the concept of memento mori, which is the remembrance that we all die, that we're all mortal, so our actions in life matter and that we need to try to make them count for as much as they can. There are thousands upon thousands of paintings of skulls representing this concept all throughout museums all over Europe. Swastikas, skulls, and black sun symbols are now considered evil because of the Nazis, but not a single person would have even blinked at a swastika or a black sun or a skull prior to the 1940s.

Also, even in places like Mexico today you have the Day of the Dead which has skulls all over and isn't about being evil.

the black sun wasnt even a publicly displayed image as far as i know, so it wasnt meant to convey to the public how evil nazis were. the swastika, a positive symbol, was meant to tell the public how to think of the nazis. nevertheless there are publicly displayed symbols telling people how evil some groups are, like on the back of the dollar bill theres the eye of providence above the 13 tiered trapezoid. and then theres false flag attacks that get foreshadowed in the media way before they happen, why would someone do this? who knows.
