Every director with a distinctive style became a caricature of themselves after awhile. You see this Lynch, Bergman, Goddard, and every other director idolized by film school students. The only ones who avoid this are directors like Kurosawa or Howard Hawks, who never developed a style that jumps out at you, and instead just focused on making objectively good movies that could be understood by everyone while still having a lot of substance.

I'm not sure if there's a wrong side to land on for all of the 'gates' in the end, I mean i'm always going to be for whatever is oldschool gamer but there's no doubt there were grifters and sellouts, and what appeared to be double agents etc etc
also i'm not sure my favorite fantasy is gonna be his style, that said it's a shame coz game of thrones or song of ice and fire or whatever was a pretty good series and he's totally not wrong on alot of things
this particular thing is just hard to even talk about anymore because there's almost a whole perspective on life that's gone these days, they've blasted everyone for so long now and got every one so whipped and scared. No ones calm, no ones relaxed, no one just wants to have fun. Everyone has to watch what they say or all the rules, literally all of them might not apply to them any more and the whole system goes 'open season'. Look at comedy, it's practically a dead genre for hollywood.
The thing that annoys me with this Diddy stuff is that it's not actually resolving anything, it's just putting it back out there that we have to worry about offendeding these psychos for another indefinite peroid of time. I Guess that's what Stephen Baldwin mighta bene talking about when he mentioned thw storm. Honestly all this shit, I just don't feel safe anymore. It needs to be fixed.
