Absolute trash writing. A toxic amalgam of tedious exposition, snarkshit, man boob coon playing a tough guy, general pretension and soy.
Weirdly, the art direction was very good.

I could forgive the mediocre writing of the first two episodes, at least they promised some kino, then the season as a whole nose dive. Modern TV is dead.

Characters making irrational/bad/unoptimal decisions isn't bad writing. Half the complaints I've heard about the show are about how Prodigy doesn't take good enough precautions, completely missing the point that Kavalier is a lunatic who launched an alien zoo into his own city and downloads children into robots. Or complaining about Wendy's Xeno whispering which hasn't even been explained yet.

I honestly wonder if people speedwatch or phonewatch when they complain about shows, Earth isn't flawless but some many of the complaints are either shit they didn't pick up on, or stuff that is obviously going to be explained or expanded upon

It is shit writing. Too much exposition, too much snarkshit both in literal and body language. Half of the show is vaguely cucky subhumans soygrinning and snarkshitting at each other. The plot is retarded. What? A xenomorph is right in front of me? Maybe I will not use my rifle and just gawk at it for 5 minutes. Then there is nigger mcmanboobs going around with a shit eating grin like he owns the place.

The show is shit. I tried to give it a chance, but the writing and acting are bad. The only really good thing is the aesthetics of the episodes that take place inside the ship, and even Alien Isolation did it better.
