>>3677894chan is literally worse to use than reddit, you can't use a vpn, you get banned for "racism" it's filled to the brim with prime faggotry.
>Where the fuck did they come from?Where did your opinion come from? Are you trying to pretend modern imageboards aren't shitholes at this point? Besides the webring today, they were also shit 8 years ago, except a couple of boards on Fullchan that had independent administration. I guess Endchan was also okay.
>>367790>theres the usual contrariansWhat like the ones that point out normalfag opinions are shit? At this point, 4chan and most chan sites are filled with troons and normalfags who just parrot opinions from a hivemind on kiker. Most of them get banned anyway.
I will say this, the genuine cuckchan /v/eddit contrarians that pretend Dark Souls 2 is the best souls geimu as an example are annoying, but they are buy and large barely existent these days in comparison to the mass subhuman flesh that inhabits the site now. In all honesty, though, I doubt you meant that when you were referring to contrarianism on image boards.

No.367796
>>367794For many years, it has been the 4chan policy that "racism" is only allowed on "containment boards" like /pol/ or /b/.
If you post freely outside of those boards, you risk being banned depending on which trannyjanny you get.

>>367890I love '80s pop culture
although I'm increasingly finding '70s movies more appealing in some ways but don't see the appeal of dumbed-down shit like this when I could just experience real stuff from the '80s I haven't been exposed to yet. I like a good amount of that "synthwave" music from the 2010s, but I also feel like the Flanderized neo-'80s aesthetic was overexposed a long time ago.

No.367922
The 80s nostalgia pretty much ran its course years ago, this show should've ended years ago. 2000s nostalgia has been in for the past few years and I've already seen people cashing on early 2010s nostalgia.
No.367923
>>367922They should've wrapped it up in 2 seasons, before the kids grew up. Now it's a show about a bunch of ostensibly gay men, which overshadows any aesthetic or nostalgic value the show had. Two of the main actors have literally come out in real life lol.
No.367961
>>367954Only early 2000s is worth having any nostalgia for and that's merely due to being an extension of the late 90s.

>>367961I agree. The Internet is really the main thing there was to be nostalgic for in the 2000s, but past the early 2000s it's not like the decade had real character or anything.

>>368096A lot of it is due to the fact that they're filthy secondaries who only discovered [insert old franchise] 5 years ago, tops. They pretend to have nostalgia for random old stuff for internet points. No.368109
>>368107>There are even certain subsets of zoomers doing the exact same thing with stuff from way before their fathers were even able to jerk off.I definitely respect the ones who discover old stuff as long as their interest is genuine. But that's the catch. It seems pretty superficial for so many of the zoomers you're talking about. How many of them would care about Kate Bush or Metallica if it wasn't for their gay little Stranger Things show? I realize that everyone has to start somewhere, but back when I was like 16 I was already poring over sites like Wikipedia trying to soak up as much knowledge as I could about whatever I was interested in. I don't get the lack of curiosity. It's like people just want to be spoonfed everything and don't have genuine passion for anything. I feel pretty jaded and lacking in motivation nowadays, but even I'm not that bad.
>>368108You're not if you genuinely enjoy them and aren't doing it in an insincere, clout-chasing way.
