It's an epidemic of shit like this from the '90s on YouTube that was never archived properly: news clips, movies, shows, you name it. It's like old, degraded VHS rips which give a false sense of the real quality there was. It's sad when you juxtapose it with movies from the Golden Age that are in HD quality, which look like they could've been shot today. Maybe AI will fix this problem.

You can't compare 1500 (used to be more) hand picked aggregated Golden Age movies from cinema, a luxury, to free access/cheap cable access TV from the 90s, where there were 100000 programs were playing at the same time and some shit was broadcast once and never seen again through a flimsy low quality broadcast signal, unlike film where it's all physical.
