People in general used to speak more eloquently and be more purposeful with their words. The degradation of language, the casualization of culture and daily life all ends up with nobody putting in any effort, which is why it all sounds and looks so trite.

I don't ever want to go back, the only thing I wish to bring back is proper otaku/nerd culture that flourished on the internet and during the 90s and 2000s, it's about the only thing I have proper nostalgia for. I like people who actually care about things.

I miss the facade of the 20th century but not all the rot that was hiding behind it. I always felt like I was born into a lame period, although at least I got to grow up with the Internet and other technologies they didn't have in the past. I wish I could live in a reality that combined the best of both worlds. Or something even better.

I have nostalgia for the facade of the otherly greenish worlds of old video games, certain tv shows, and quality anime. Their worlds were pat the facade of the 20th century and its rot because they were pure idealism. I always wanted to be a Knight of a great kingdom, a hero. This time doesn't allow for true heroism, or true humanity. It's why I loved proper hobbyism, that is why its such a shame that normalfags ruined everything.

Higurashi's sort of isolated village and its peaceful life between the horror mirrored both my life in real life and the internet in the sense that I watched both places be invaded and slowly destroyed from within.

Zoomers will always say 2007 was the beginning of the end because of the iPhone, but the rot had already set in since the '90s, that's when the gutting of our industrial base began,
and jews were going hard on dumbing down and filling the culture with degeneracy. Now, I'm sure a boomer would tell me you could trace the tipping point back even further to the Hart-Celler Act, the Brown v. Board of Education decision, and the Civil Rights Act.
