Honestly can we just ban the cuckposters? Their annoying, yeah I know they might come and spam shit up like a certain indian but its tiresome to have to deal with them. They already spam to begin with.

>>372998One of the things I like about 80s/90s fiction is the focus on competence. I swear the big difference between then and now is that. 80s/90s was about competence. 2010s/20s is about authenticity.

>>373077True. And its not only the film that is effected, but the entire process. Its like film front-loads the creativity process, and forces artists to commit. Digital makes editing and the film process to fluid, and when something is fluid, it gets diluted.

>>373096>2010s/20s is about authenticity. What do you mean by that? CGI slop is surely unauthentic. Or is it about the push for 'realism', popularized by Nolan?

No.373410
>>372998Kevin Smith's stagnant mediocrity should be studied because how the hell you make wagecucks that felt real to shallow assclowns and you're supposed to take them seriously despite the piss poor acting and defenestrating its original premise (yes I'm talking about Clerks). No doubt he ended up writing for shitty superhero comics or horror movies, because that's the perfect place for playing it safe, where all rejects hang around and jerk each other off.
No.373431
>>373410Kevin Smith is definitely someone whose body of work I don't think anyone is really going to think stands the test of time. I only really like Clerks because of Randal Graves, and even then you're not talking about high art or anything. It's not something I could see myself revisiting very often. I don't really remember anything about Mallrats or Dogma, and not much stands out in my memory of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. If Kevin Smith hadn't gotten lucky with Clerks, it's hard to imagine him having made a lasting career in Hollywood. It's surprising he's even still around as it is.
