I rewatched my childhood movie x men man shits good. I actually appreciated more now than i did as a kid when it came out. I understood the politics more.

Still great OST and vibe too, theres some really weird y2k futuristic environments that obviously had a lot of love and care put into them, especially magnetos hideout and the room the senator became a mutant in

I really appreciate having the movie be serious too. And lo and behold the infamous "what happens when a toad gets struck by lightning" line was put in there by fucking joss whedon lmao. That and the "you're a dick" line are the only whedon dialogue left in it

I still prefer x men 2 but x men 1 is good too. X2 is more of a marvel style crowd pleaser but none of the "wink wink comics are stupid arent they?" Or fucking forced marvel humor
