Just saw Wildwood in theaters and it was bretty good. Even I found certain moments humorous but serious at times. And despite being pg-13, the story and certain actions taken were pretty mature, which actually surprised me to be honest. Totally unlike the Minions movie or the Mario movie which was just kiddy schlop, not even Reddit.
Needless to say, the animation was really good too, you can see emotions conveyed by slight movement of the eyes and whatnot. It was much more detailed than jap cartoons. The female protagonist and antagonist were very attractive, I was impressed. Very minor things were woke, but the real world took place in Portland, Oregon so it's excusable for being realistic.
It's a good movie for keinbernds to bring their gf to.
I can see why it had good reviews. Shame about box office thus far, reminds me of Blade Runner 2077 which had really good reception and was very well made but couldn't break even. Thankfully the father of the guy who made this owns Nike, so it's bankrolled for pure cinema and art.
Has anyone else seen it?

Is it one of those stop-motion like CG movies?

>>376469>And despite being pg-13, the story and certain actions taken were pretty mature, which actually surprised me to be honest. That's good. Western animation for adults has always been scant, unless you count the handful of jewish comedies that have aired on TV since the 90s. We need more mature animated dramas and less comedies.
>The female protagonist and antagonist were very attractive, I was impressed. Not from that poster she's not.

>>376486I think he might be talking about stop-motion movies where the animation is so smooth it looks like 3D CGI.

>>376491I initially thought Coraline was CGI made-to-look like stop-motion, but then I found out they did do it the hard way, it was very impressive.
