I don't know how to call this, but there's a moment when you had it enough and yet the game keeps delivering missions that are total bullshit, GTA games are also guilty of this, overwhelming slop? Fuck the French Pinball and the acid lake levels, I don't think anyone would miss them if they go unused.

Perhaps every Mario mainline suffers from this. In Odyssey once you reach the last level: all the NPC's from the other worlds are scattered around clashing the shit out of the stage's artstyle, something done by a child when shitting out random assets in Unreal Engine.

There's a new Mario Kart lego set coming out May 15th, so some people were speculating that the Switch 2 launch may be coinciding with that, with Mario Kart 9 as the flagship launch title.

 No.11016>>11017

The price of the Nintendo Switch 2 is one of the hottest topics within the video game industry. Analysts have told IGN they expect Nintendo's next-gen console to launch at $400, and a new Bloomberg report reaffirms that price range, based on Japan-focused analyst predictions.

A $400 price point would be significantly higher than the original Switch, and another analyst told Bloomberg they wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo went even higher, potentially to $499. But the analysts expect Switch 2 to enjoy a massive launch, maybe even the biggest console launch of all time, "regardless of price."

"They will sell boatloads of Switch 2 in the first months in particular, almost regardless of the price," Tokyo analyst Serkan Toto told Bloomberg.

One of the reasons Switch 2 will be so popular during its launch period is because of huge demand for its launch line-up of games. Toto expects a new Mario Kart, as teased by Nintendo itself when it revealed the Switch 2, a new 3D Mario game, as well as the already announced Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4, all released during the Switch 2's first year of life. Toto also expects third-party support to include Call of Duty from Activision.

There is a long list of rumored third-party titles coming to the console, and in an interview with IGN, Civilization 7 developer Firaxis called Switch 2's apparent Joy-Con mouse mode "definitely intriguing." French video game and accessories maker Nacon, publisher of the likes of Greedfall 2, Test Drive Unlimited, and RoboCop: Rogue City, has said it has Switch 2 games ready to go. The long-awaited Hollow Knight: Silksong is also rumored to be set for Switch 2. And last month, EA said Madden, FC, and The Sims would all be a great fit for Switch 2.

It's worth noting Activision has yet to announce its Switch 2 plans, and Nintendo hasn't commented on the report.

When will Switch 2 release? June 2025 is increasingly coming up not just online, but in games media circles. One Japan-based analyst, Robin Zhu of Sanford C. Bernstein, told Bloomberg the Switch 2 is expected to release in June, with first-day inventory of 6-8 million units. If Nintendo burns through that stock the Switch 2 will have no problem selling faster than its predecessor and the PlayStation 4 and 5, breaking records along the way.

According to Nate the Hate, a number of Switch 2 games are coming from Ubisoft, including a port of Assassin's Creed Mirage in the console's launch window. The upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows, currently only down for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC, is also reportedly coming to Switch 2, although at a later date outside the launch window.

Other Ubisoft ports allegedly include games from The Division series and Rainbow Six Siege. The Mario + Rabbids games are also reportedly coming to Switch 2, potentially in a single package, which wouldn't come as much of a surprise given the Nintendo link and previous comments from Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot.

Nate the Hate also reported that Konami is preparing a Switch 2 port of Metal Gear Solid Delta, which is due out at some point this year. Nate the Hate suggested it may launch day and date on Switch 2.

In a previous podcast, Nate the Hate said a number of Xbox games are coming to Switch 2, including Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Windows Central's Jez Corden subsequently corroborated that report, saying it's likely that most, if not all Xbox games, will launch on Switch 2 if the console is able to run them well enough.

We can make some informed speculation ourselves about what to expect on Switch 2. It seems likely that games Nintendo has announced as coming to the Switch this year and beyond will also make their way to the Switch 2. Metroid Prime 4, for example, is a safe bet. As is Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. The question is, will these games look and play significantly better on the Switch 2 compared to the Switch?

Oh wow, I mean you could get a decent 64-bit laptop and play them on the get go including the stuff they don't have rights to or from defunct companies, the Shitcube has been cracked for a while and all you need is to figure out Dolphin's choppy audio.

It's an option but the emulation on NSO is 100% accurate, there's no glitches or messing around with trying to get it to work properly. Plus, you get it all on the go in a handheld. The only problem I have with NSO is its limited library, although I've had a good time with some N64 games on there I didn't get around to completing in my youth.

There's no choppy audio. Gamecube games were designed to run at a refresh rate to 59.94hz (NTSC standard), so configure your monitor accordingly.

That's absolutely not true, the input lag is abysmal and the games are upscaled to an ugly degree.

I would've liked a CRT filter on the N64 app like the SNES one has. As far as the controls, the only game I've had a problem with so far was Turok 2, it just doesn't seem right, the experience might be improved if you buy the N64 controller.
