though not at the same time, it's actually relatively rare to find a .30-06 chambered Mauser, only a few were made in that caliber, mine's an 8mm, disassembling and reassembling one isn't really all that difficult with the barest of minimum of idea of what you're doing, and nailing a target at that distance with a scope isn't something that requires you to be a marine sharpshooter top graduate. I also have a suspicion this guy *didn't* actually hit his target as he would've wanted to because I would bet he was aiming at the head and not the neck and detaching and reattaching his scope made it lose zero, or he hadn't accounted for angle/weather conditions/etc and it managed to hit a killshot anyways.
