I try to think one thing of value that rabbi yeshua taught but his "sacrifice" is nothing more than a scapegoat for the goyim. No one every asked to be a part of the abrahamic canon, nor did they ask to be saved. Jesus doesn't even come across as humble, he comes across about as arrogant and smug as paul or modern christians do. Truly the honor attributed to Jesus, and the aspect of sacrifice is actually rooted in the honor of pre-socratic Greece with Homer's works.

The sacrifice doesn't even make sense in the first place. It's not like someone throwing themselves in front of an oncoming bus to move a child out of harm's way. It's more like someone throwing themselves in front of a bus with nobody in its path. If Yahweh is both omniscient and omnipotent as Christians typically claim, then he would have foreseen the fall of man right from the beginning and either could have changed humans to behave in a way that was more satisfactory for him or just forgiven them. Why would you have to kill your son (who is also yourself) to pay off a debt to yourself that you're ultimately responsible for causing? And how exactly does death absolve sins? At least in the Old Testament it's stated that Yahweh likes the smell of burnt offerings.

He's popularly portrayed as kind, patient, and infinitely loving, but that seems overly simplified to me compared to how he's actually portrayed in the Bible. He comes across like an ornery ass to me. Especially in Revelation, with all the slaughter and punishment being dished out. This old image sums things up perfectly. If Christmas is Jesus's birthday, I'd rather worship Santa Claus.

I've never understood the appeal of the Jesus character at all. I genuinely don't get it. Even when I was Christian I didn't actually like him, but I felt like I had to show him the proper respect as my get-out-of-Hell-free card. For a lot of people, the fear of eternal torment is the main hurdle preventing them from leaving the Christian plantation.

Everyone seems to have their own headcanon version, especially considering how few people seem to have actually read all the New Testament. I find it kind of difficult to imagine the Jesus of the Bible playing basketball with a group of conspicuously multiracial children, but that kind of imagery apparently gives Christians warm and fuzzy feelings. The guy in the Bible seems surly and not very prone to levity. It's like they've used the Bible character as a rough outline for an imaginary friend who has a lot of the rough edges filed down. Jesus essentially becomes an emotional security blanket. Think of how many different Jesuses there are out there. The historical circumstances in which the Jesus of the Bible was created and his characteristics are ignored, and instead the Biblical character is treated as a Rorschach test where the viewer can project whatever traits they deem positive onto. There's the generic de-Judaized modern hippie version of Jesus that even secular people tend to praise, revolutionary socialist agitator Jesus, Reaganite small gubment American conservative Jesus, and Aryan White Power Jesus, and enlightened New Age master Jesus, just to name a few popular conceptions. Even educated academics who are certain that a historical Jesus existed can't seem to agree on much about him or even demonstrate a reliable methodology for determining anything about him. Was he an apocalyptic prophet, Hellenized philosopher, or a violent anti-Roman revolutionary? Nobody can say for certain.

What the Bible is clear about is that Jesus is supposed to be a 1st-century Jewish rabbi and also the messiah, and those are reason enough that no gentile should want anything to do with the character. The way he still has such traction even among people who should know better is puzzling. They need to put away childish things, to quote Saul of Tarsus, move on from their emotional support blankie, and move forward with their lives.
