There was definitely crap like women's suffrage and prohibition too, but overall they had a lot of good points compared to the more conservative people of that era who took a more laissez-faire approach to government.
The agenda of today's "progressives" are at cross purposes with many of the ideals of the Progressive Era. For example, they hate poor whites, want to flood the West with nons who act as scab labor and have negative effects on the environment, and also generally bring the quality of life down for the common man.
