Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling was a Japanese Professional Wrestling promotion founded by Atsushi Onita in 1989. He started it due to the two main promotions, Antonio Inoki's New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Giant Baba's All Japan Pro Wrestling, rejecting his ideas about how "everything should be allowed in Puroresu". Onita expanded on the brawling style he had encountered in Jerry Lawler's Continental Wrestling Association in Memphis, Tennessee and the use of barbed-wire in the World Wrestling Council in Puerto Rico. Baba derisively labeled the FMW style "Garbage Wrestling", though it is more respectfully labeled "Hardcore." While Onita was the focus, and many Japanese wrestlers (W*ING Kanemura, Masato Tanaka, Hayabusa, Tarzan Goto, Mr. Gannosuke) made their names there, it also was the promotion where the likes of Jado Gedo and TAKA Michinoku debuted, American wrestler Mike Awesome made his career as "The Gladiator" and also where Sabu first made his name, and, as a result of competing in no-rope barbed-wire matches, became the "scarred-up freak" the world would come to know and love. Much of what FMW pioneered would later be brought to US audiences via ECW.https://mega.nz/file/f1sTXKZI#qt0b0ImhZt67F5NcMEk5sMSXkRxw29bCV-rXgIBlxwUhttps://mega.nz/file/a19j2KoT#Ik8EP2lRMi2VuZd7qc4HOIxeujPWigfZ6Y5aNULwGqc
The first link is the commercial DVD for Battle Creation: Toso an event on Dec 10th 1989. You may notice that the Engrish on the title cards is especially grievous but please remember that at this Onita had not yet gone back to high school to get his diploma. The second link is a handheld recording from the event. Many of the commercial recordings are edited to cut the undercard matches short so the entire event could fit on VHS so you need to watch the handheld if you are interested in a more complete viewing.>Kumiko Matsuda v Miwa Sato>Tiger Jackson v Little Devil *Super Jr. transitional title match*>Crusher Dennis v Mitsuteru Tokuda>Masa Kurisu v Shoji Akiyoshi>Sambo Asako v Monkey Magic WakitaPost too long.
