GG Allin had some bangers. "Bite It You Scum" is probably my favorite.

I'm bored of listening to the same Ibiza Trance Classics albums. They've been releasing the same fucking songs, I think even in the same order, for the last 20 years. How do I find new shit to listen to?

Does zoomers actually listen to trance and other forms of eletronic music (excluding trap and other shit like that)?

I used to go both in raves parties, metal festivals and punk shows back in the 2000's and 2010's and during that time it was easy to see underage people at such events, but whatever I got in a new event the majority of people there are gen x or millennials, never anyone younger than 26.

No, actual electronica is mostly dead outside some small circles.
Closest thing to a scene you got from zoomers that gets close to old school scenes is synthwave and shoegaze.
>2010s
God, what a fucking pile of trash that decade was, only thing I remember being decent at the time were David Guetta, which was super overplayed and Daft Punk.

Takeo Ischi's story is kind of interesting. He taught himself yodeling after hearing it on the radio in Japan and getting some Franzl Lang records. He traveled to Europe and made money yodeling, and Franzl Lang himself was in one of his audiences and ended up becoming his mentor.

ABBA has always been celebrated for their excellence. There is an Austrian song by Edelweiss inspired by that same Swedish excellence.

I was listening to this yesterday, and it really made me think about how well-written English love songs are universally relatable.

For me, Lilian conveys feelings of love we've all felt. The vocalist describes the unique physical traits of this woman, but most of us have shared the emotion he expresses, for many different kinds of women.

What I'm trying to say is that you can basically ad lib the traits describing the woman, including her name, and still relate to the overall meaning of the lyrics.

It's a balancing act, however. Too much specific information about the subject's personality, or events that occurred in their lives, causes a rift between the singer and the listener. The listener becomes more of a third-person observer, or cuckold.

Without even getting into the excellent composition of this song, Lilian is the Goldilocks of melodeath love ballads. It does not go into detail about their personal lives, and remains purposely vague enough for the listener to self-insert.

The video is kino, and it even adds some ambiguity to the lyrics toward the end as far as the outcome of the relationship.

Death Metal all sounds the same with very few exceptions.

Pure death metal really peaked in its early years if you ask me. Even then I don't think most of it was that great. I'd rather listen to a more melodic album like Burning Bridges over something like Altars of Madness or Human. Atheist I can get into though. I used to like Cannibal Corpse too.

I've noticed as I lost interest in keeping up with metal that I generally don't come back to the more extreme stuff anymore other than certain black metal or thrash albums. When I was in high school I would look for more and more intense music, but nowadays Kill 'Em All has become a personal benchmark (and it's the only Metallica album I return to much anymore).

Shit just has no rhythm to be enjoyable in the least and due to growling everything sounds the fucking same.
You listen to stuff like Mayhem and older bands and it has rhythm, it's cohesive, it's not just hitting cords at random trying to be edgy and screaming into the mic with a low growl.

What are some bands that are musically similar to Lost Horizon? I haven't been able to find anyone else like them, and it's upsetting that they only put out two albums before they disbanded. Daniel Heiman recently did an album with some Danish guys and while the vocals are there, it's not what I was expecting and I realized that it needs those high-flying drums and guitars along with (for lack of a better term) the uplifting/godlike lyrics it comes with. They're undoubtedly my favorite band and I would love to find more like them.

Also newer fans don't care about community or past bands that actually set the genre in motion, they have a very liberal idea of the thing, IE "gatekeeping bad, we're PAST that chud." kind of rhetoric. Also their "NSBM bad but let's rip them off and make really shitty antifa music" is fucking laughable for their supposedly militant beliefs if they weren't going out of their way to get shows cancelled, labels and distros financially ruined because "racism bad".

Also the way people interact with music now is awful. It's just narcissism and deranged woman behaviors piling up on end and it's an almost inescapable mindset.
