I went back listened to the Beatles for the first time in years and one thing that bothered me a little was how, for a few years, they wouldn't put some of the best songs they made during an album's recording session on the album itself so they could release them as singles. Why they couldn't put them on the album
and release them as singles I don't know. Either way, I feel the albums where they did this suffered as a result so I thought about where I put them on the albums and which tracks I would have them replace. After some experimenting, this is what I think is the best way do that. In the case of the White Album, I trimmed it down to a single album like George Martin wanted. Are there any tracks that add/remove/rearrange on certain albums?
