In-the-box recording has become the norm, with an increasing reliance on digital technology. I don't know anything about the recording process of video related, but not even the vinyl mix sounds appealing to me despite not being compressed to hell. The 1997 remix of Raw Power is famously loud and yet still sounds better to me than anything I can think of from this era.
